What makes the Berlitz summer language camps for children different?

Our unique emphasis on conversation engages children and gets them talking from the very beginning, emphasizing authentic pronunciation and consistent participation. This encourages authentic verbal interaction throughout each session, both between students and the instructor, as well as with one another. Each lesson is interactive and full immersion, meaning that the teacher and students speak only in the target language.

Our class sizes are small groups with up to 10 students, grouped by age and skill level so that classes can be most effective. This format helps students more easily engage with each other and the instructor and rapidly see results.

Our summer language camps also feature cultural experiences that engage students outside of the classroom.

We also believe in celebrating achievements at Berlitz and all our summer language camps include a Celebration of Skills and Certificate at the end of the program.

Berlitz offers summer language camps for children in Pohorje and Fiesa, and summer school option in Ljubljana and Maribor.

All of our summer camps offer language instruction for kids in the morning. They can also practice their skills in live conversations, various activities and interactive exercises throughout the day.

Our camps welcome kids of all ages between 7 and 14.

Our summer language camps lasts 5 or 6 days, depending on the selected location.

A typical day includes morning classes and workshops in English, and the afternoon is dedicated to a variety of sports and other activities, depending on the location.

The summer school is intended for children aged between 8 and 14. Classes are held in small groups of 3 to 6 children, from Monday to Friday (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM). Children are grouped according to their age and prior knowledge, so the lessons are tailored to their needs and level of understanding.

  • 8:00–9:00 Wake-up and breakfast
  • 9:00–10:30 Group lessons using the Berlitz method
  • 10:30–11:00 Break and snack
  • 11:00–12:45 Workshops in English with teachers
  • 13:00–14:30 Lunch and free time
  • 14:30–18:00 Sports activities
  • 18:00–19:30 Dinner and free time
  • From 19:30 onwards: Evening activities
