Welcome to the free Berlitz online language test. This placement test is available in the following languages: German, English, French, Spanish and Italian.
The test examines your level of vocabulary and grammar in each language, and at the same time, helps identify your listening and reading skills. It gives you an indicator about your current level of knowledge regarding your language level .
The language placement test takes about 20 minutes.
Technical requirements:
- Microsoft Windows versions 2000, XP, Vista, Windows 7; Mac OS X
- Browsers: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari
- Adobe Flash player version 9 or higher
- 512 MB RAM, 1000 MHz CPU
- Sound card, external speakers or headset
- For the best possible view, please set the screen resolution to 1024x768 pixels
If you have technical problems with the implementation, the most common causes are:
- Flash Player is not installed or disturbed
- Pop-ups are blocked
- The local network is overloaded (please try again later)
- Your firewall blocks the test
