Saddle up: riding vacation in English
Spend plenty of time in the saddle, make new friends, and learn English in a fun way: at our „Girls only“ language camp in Rauschenberg, kids and teens get to enjoy a wonderful vacation in a beautiful setting. The excitement doesn’t stop just because the riding lessons are over, because we organize fun team games, interesting creative workshops, and enjoy varied evenings.
Improving English skills at Rauschenberg language camp with Berlitz
Our holiday camp in Rauschenberg combines English lessons in the mornings with a varied leisure program in the afternoons. During lessons, the focus is on creativity: for example, kids will write content for our camp magazine, draw and describe their own pictures, or act out fairy tales in English. That way, we teach kids to enjoy the foreign language through play.
Learning English during the school break? That’s not a problem with our Berlitz English camps! Unlike school lessons, the aim here is not to teach as much material and grammar as possible. We use the Berlitz method of “learning by speaking”, i.e. as much active speaking as possible. We offer kids:
- Lessons five mornings a week (4 x 45 minutes each)
- Kids are encouraged to actively use English in small groups
On the day of arrival, we'll assign kids to learning groups according to their age and previous knowledge.
The perfect vacation for kids who love horses
What exactly is the word for a female horse in English? Or “whinny”? After the language classes in the morning, we’ll keep speaking English and learning new words along the way. Only riding lessons and important instructions will be in German. When we’re not in the saddle, we’ll get to know each other better through team games, excursions, and other fun activities.
Riding lessons and taking care of horses
It doesn’t matter whether camp participants are experienced riders or have never ridden before. The farm’s professional team of instructors offers horseback riding lessons for everyone: from beginners to advanced. Riding lessons take place five days a week and last 90 minutes each. Depending on their riding skills, participants can also take part in guided rides.
The farm is home to more than 10 trained horses of all sizes. During their stay, participants will get to develop a special relationship with one of the horses. They’ll take care of a foster horse and learn everything there is about grooming, cleaning, and leading their favorite animals.
Exciting evenings at the farm
It may be time to say goodnight to the horses – but the fun continues at camp. After dinner together, we’ll relax during a game evening or movie night. Are the kids and teens in the mood for some real fun? Then it’s time to crank up the music and have a disco night.

Family atmosphere at the Begegnungshof „Bewegt mit Pferd“
The Begegnungshof „Bewegt mit Pferd“ is a holiday farm with therapeutical riding offers run by association Reiten in Sport und Therapie Ebsdorfergrund e.V.. The focus lies on inclusion, diversity, and animal wellfare. Guests and their four-legged friends can feel at home no matter the weather, because there is a spacious barn in addition to the outdoor grounds. When they’re not looking after horses, kids and teens can try out the reading corner in the common room. In the evening, we’ll make ourselves comfortable in our mattress dormitory.
Nature and excursions in county Marburg-Biedenkopf
Rauschenberg in county Marburg-Biedenkopf offers the perfect backdrop for all horseback riding kids and teens. Vast meadows, a rural atmosphere, but still near to Marburg: Begegnungshof is located between Kirchhain and Wohratal. Many excursions such as mini golfing, lama hikings, outdoor swimming pool, or an ice cream parlor in Rauschenberg are easily accessible from our location.

“Let’s speak English” – that's the motto we follow at the Rauschenberg Berlitz Camp. Our experienced counselors are at the kids’ side all day long. Both during lessons that take place in small groups in the mornings and during the fun and action in the afternoons and evenings. Our focus: to ensure all kids speak English all day long.
The best proof of the success of our Berlitz concept: many counselors were camp participants themselves in the past and support us year after year!
Providing the best all-round support at our Berlitz language camps is important to us. That also includes a balanced diet. Kids will receive three meals a day and these include drinks like juice, tea, or water. Please pack a reusable water bottle, so that your child can fill it up in between meals.
We try our best to offer alternatives for kids with special requests, such as vegetarians or those with allergies. Please contact our team before booking so that we can discuss this on a one-on-one basis.
How we start: Together with their parents, kids will be able to get to know our team and other participants and take part in a parents’ welcome session on arrival day. All kids will receive our welcome package. We use a written and oral placement to place kids in the right learning group. With younger kids, we often just talk briefly about their hobbies and everyday life.
Important departure information: Parents can pick up their kids on the day of departure. You will find out exactly when in the camp travel documents. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pick kids up at a later time, as our team will also be leaving. We will send all camp documents, including a certificate of participation, to the participants afterwards.
