Learn a language on your own – online and at your own pace

Berlitz Connect Plus offers all the flexibility of our self-study program Berlitz Connect Classic in addition to online conversation classes. Berlitz Connect Premium offers the option to receive additional one-on-one Live Coaching Sessions with your individual language instructor. Choose the training that best matches your needs from our Berlitz Connect training programs. We’ll be pleased to advise you.

Learning a language with Berlitz Connect is suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced learners. The following proficiency levels are available for the different languages we offer (these match the Common European Framework of Reference(CEFR)):

English and French: CEFR A1–C1

German and Spanish: CEFR A1–B1

Important to know: Some basic knowledge of German and Spanish is required to subscribe to courses in those languages.

The Berlitz Connect Plus program is based on a flat fee. In other words, course participants can learn for as long and as often as they want within the license period. This applies to all e-learning content and to Live Classroom sessions. Course participants can take as many conversation classes as they wish.

Berlitz Connect Premium also offers unlimited access to e-learning options and conversation courses. This does not cover additional one-on-one instruction, however: A defined number of coaching sessions with your personal language instructor are available. If required you can also book additional coaching sessions.

If you complete all e-lessons of a CEFR level, all programs allow you to unlock e-lessons on the next level. Naturally, there is no extra fee for this. Berlitz Connect is therefore not limited to one CEFR level per license. One license is enough to go through all existing levels.

Live Classrooms are open group conversation courses that deal with different business topics and everyday issues based on a well-thought-out pedagogical concept. These sessions are like a real classroom situation with a trainer and other course participants. The teaching materials are shared on-screen with everyone. Each course lasts 30 minutes to allow participants to integrate training sessions into their everyday lives. It is not necessary to register for courses.

At the end of each course, participants have the opportunity to check how much progress they have made with our ReTest service. Results can be officially documented with a Berlitz Connect certificate. ReTest content is identical for all participants. Our system uses the first questions to gauge proficiency. Based on this, participants are automatically asked to complete a test suited to their abilities (beginner/intermediate/advanced). The actual test is therefore based on participants’ respective language levels.
