The monks from Nazareth Mission House have come to Budapest to learn the language, and they're doing it in style!
Gabriel Boatemg, Joseph Tijo, and Festus Ackah, from Ghana and India, were committed to developing their language skills during the course.
Despite being new to the city and not knowing anyone, the group quickly signed their contract and got straight to work the day after. Their mission was no less than go from A1 to A2 proficiency in record time – in order to reach this goal they had three-hour classes five times a week, totalling 120 lessons.
After their first class, they hit Ferenciek Square, taking the bus like locals; using only a little help of their instructor, who happened to travel in the same direction. Their determination and commitment to mastering the Hungarian language are nothing short of amazing. They are the most motivated group we've ever seen - one of the students has already begun preaching in Hungarian!
Berlitz Budapest team wishes them all the best as they progress on their language-learning journey. We can't wait to see what they'll achieve next!
