What better way to bring these people together than cooking as a team?

ChefParade Cooking School delivered the perfect solution, curating a menu inspired by various cuisines:

  • Rosemary apple and celeriac cream soup
  • Blini (Russian yeast pancakes) with salmon and dill
  • Aubergine and feta baklava
  • Catfish paprika with cottage cheese pasta
  • Pork tenderlion, breadroll dumpling, rosemary sauce
  • Poppy seed bread pudding with vanilla custard

We prepared the dishes in teams of 5–6 people, with each group responsible for one course. Fortuna decided about the teams. Luckily, every group had an experienced chef, a skilled sous-chef, an enthusiastic taster, and of course, a mood-maker. Everyone found a role that suited them perfectly.

What’s the secret?

Cooking together helps people to open up. It’s no surprise since constant communication is needed to get the dishes ready. Our team speaks the common work language, English, at different levels, so the event quickly became a live demonstration of the Berlitz Method itself: using metasigns, gestures, English, Spanish, Hungarian - whatever it took to understand one another.

This turned a Christmas party into a culinary journey, perfectly reflecting Berlitz's spirit: bringing people together from different corners of the world through cultural experiences.

After the lively chatter and multilingual mix, a sudden hush fell over the group. It was time to enjoy what we had cooked. Judging by the feedback, we can confidently say we did a great job! ☺️
